Our Dog Daycare Programs
Group Play Daycare
In Group Play daycare, your dog spends the day enjoying off-leash, open play alongside other friendly pups. To be eligible, dogs must meet the following requirements:
- Spayed or neutered if 9 months or older
- Up to date on Bordetella, DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvo, parainfluenza), and Rabies vaccines
To keep your dog's evaluation current and help them thrive socially, we recommend visiting at least once a week.
Not sure if Group Play is the right fit? Pawsitive Enrichment may be a great alternative.
Benefits of Group Play Daycare
- Your dog will get to receive socialization, companionship, and exercise throughout their whole day with other four-legged friends
- With Puppy Preschool at our Ferndale location, your new friend doesn't need to be crated all day, enroll them into our innovative program to receive structured socialization, confidence building, and obedience practice while you're at work
- Doggy daycare allows pet parents to relax at the end of the day by bringing home a tired dog
- Daycare is fun! It decreases boredom that can lead to destructive behaviors such as barking and chewing at home

Pawsitive Enrichment Daycare
Looking for a dog daycare that caters to your furry friend's individual needs? While Group Play may not suit every dog, we believe all dogs deserve the perks of socialization, companionship, and a secure environment while their pet parents are away. That's why Canine To Five offers a tailored service, providing personalized attention for dogs who thrive on one-on-one interaction.
To participate in Pawsitive Enrichment, all dogs must:
- Be friendly with strangers, and non-reactive towards other dogs
- Be up to date on Bordetella, DHPP, and Rabies vaccines
- Have passed a Pawsitive Enrichment evaluation day
We recommend visiting at least once per week to stay active and establish a good routine for your dog. While we do accept unaltered dogs, for safety reasons, we cannot lodge dogs while they are in heat or pregnant.

Our Dog Daycare Reviews
Frequently Asked Questions About Dog Grooming
Does dog daycare help with separation anxiety?
Structured daycare can be a helpful piece of managing separation anxiety, but it isn't a cure on its own. Dogs with separation anxiety typically need a combination of behavior modification, desensitization training, and in some cases veterinary guidance, daycare can complement that work by giving your dog regular socialization and exercise, but it shouldn't replace professional support.
How much does dog daycare cost?
Pricing depends on which program you choose and how many days per month you book. Group Play membership starts at $175/month for 5 days ($35/day) and drops as low as $25/day on the unlimited plan, with single-visit rates of $40 for a full day or $30 for a half day. Pawsitive Enrichment, our more personalized one-on-one program, starts at $225/month for 5 days, with single visits at $55 (full day) or $43 (half day).
How do I know if my dog likes daycare?
Most dogs show it pretty clearly, excitement at drop-off, a tired-but-content demeanor at pickup, and no new behavioral issues at home. At Canine to Five, every dog gets a hands-on wellness check each day, and you'll get a text if we notice anything off, so you're not left guessing. You can also check in anytime through our live webcams to see how your dog's day is going.
How does the daycare evaluation process work?
Before joining Group Play or Pawsitive Enrichment, every dog completes an evaluation day so our team can get to know their temperament and comfort level around other dogs. It's not a pass/fail test in the sense of "good dog vs. bad dog", dogs who aren't a fit for Group Play's off-leash setting can often thrive in Pawsitive Enrichment instead.
Is half-day daycare enough for my dog?
It depends on your dog and your schedule. We offer half-day packages (under 5 hours) for both Group Play and Pawsitive Enrichment at a lower rate than full-day options, which works well for dogs easing into daycare or owners with shorter workdays. If your dog seems to want more time to play and socialize, you can always move up to a full-day membership.
How many days a week should my dog go to daycare?
We recommend at least once a week, both to keep your dog's evaluation current and to help them stay comfortable in the group setting. Many dogs do well with more frequent visits, especially high-energy or highly social dogs, but once a week is the minimum we'd suggest to maintain those social skills.
What are signs my dog is stressed at daycare?
Watch for excessive panting, hiding or avoiding the group, reluctance to enter at drop-off, or changes in appetite after visits. If you notice any of these, it's worth talking to staff directly, our team is watching your dog throughout the day and can tell you how they're actually doing in the group, not just how drop-off or pickup looked.
